FANUC vacuum pump overhaul
The exhaust pump lowers the pressure in the gas circuit to the level needed for laser oscillation and continuously exchanges a small part of the laser gas. When its performance drops, the whole resonator suffers.
Maintenance notes
- Overhaul: roughly every 10,000 operating hours – with a complete seal kit the pump runs like new again.
- Exhaust filter: replace every 4,000 hours or two years, or when pumping capacity drops. A clogged filter often shows as whitish oil mist.
- Check rotation: gas should appear at the outlet within about a minute of start-up. Otherwise the pump may be running in reverse – with abnormal noise and the thermal switch tripping.
Scope
Complete seal kit, oil and filter, standardised reconditioning and testing before return. Overhauled pumps are supplied with a warranty; scope and duration are set out in the quote.
